The Kia is a real gem for the motorhome owner.

It is pretty fair to say it’s a competitive market in motorhomes and cars, especially small models. I tested the new Kia Piccanto 3 recently. I was very impressed with its handling and build for the £10,700 asking price. The petrol engine was eager and the handling very good. An ideal car for the larger motorhome owner, who would find it so easy to use at home and touring.

What a week this has been. I viewed a gorgeous and only slightly faded 1986 Auto-Sleeper Talisman GL at Southern Motorhome Centre in Berkshire on Monday (it could be yours for only £7995) before catching a flight to southern Germany to view the very latest mega motorhomes from Aschbach-based Concorde. Wow, these are impressive. Perhaps they should be, considering the top models are anything from £100,000 up into full orbit. I might be able to stretch to insuring one of these amazing monsters, but I certainly couldn’t afford to buy one…

Motorhome insurance customers planning to take a break on the continent this summer have been advised to buy fuel before leaving the UK.

According to Sarah Munro, head of Post Office Travel Money, it is important to consider this.
