My new towcar and a possible TV appearance on Yesterday TV

David Hainsworth, from Skoda dealership David Ian, hands over my new towcar.

Just recently I decided that I wanted a different tow car. The Skoda Octavia VRS had proved good for this job with its 170 bhp TDI engine. However, I had the chance to change to a heavier car.

So after looking around and test drives, I came back to Skoda! I plumbed for the Skoda Superb SE plus hatch – though ordered it with the 140 TDi engine after an impressive test of one some time ago.

Winter shot of a parked touring caravan

Caravanning in winter can be a brilliant time to be out and about if you are suitably prepared.

I can’t believe the winter months and the shorter nights are upon us again!

While most put their touring caravan or motorhome away for the winter months, there are those who see this season as an opportunity to explore places when the tourists have all but gone.

Seeing a favourite holiday spot in winter can give you a whole new approach on that view, village or town.

The Kia Piccanto and motorhome converter Premier Creations’ new motorhome model

Kia Piccanto 3 car

The Kia is a real gem for the motorhome owner.

It is pretty fair to say it’s a competitive market in motorhomes and cars, especially small models. I tested the new Kia Piccanto 3 recently. I was very impressed with its handling and build for the £10,700 asking price. The petrol engine was eager and the handling very good. An ideal car for the larger motorhome owner, who would find it so easy to use at home and touring.
