Saw two salesman this morning dressed in Star Trek outfits! Now caravan dealers are usually more likely to be seen in Hugo Boss than lycra so I wondered what was going on. My friend Richard from the Dethleffs Owners Club dragged me over to take a look.

Phew! A manic start to the show. People everywhere and no room to move in the aisles.

Positive stuff for an industry that’s had an uncertain 12-18months.

We have seen hundreds of people on our the Win a Bailey Pegasus stand and I’ve had a good look around a selection of new motorhomes from Rapido, Dethleffs and Burstner.

The other day I worked out that I have spent over 18 months of my life inside caravan shows! I can see myself sitting there with the grandkids asking “Grandad what did you used to do at work?” Telling them that I spent a year and a half of my life at a caravan show isn’t exactly going to help me reach hero status!

Wow – despite being nearly 30% smaller, the International Caravan & Motorhome Show was mad busy. My shoes are worn thin and I don’t think I’ve talked so much in all of my life! The show was more manageable for visitors, my Freedom pass paid dividends and over 78,000 of you enjoyed it too.
