Cheap Bailey Caravan Insurance

13th May, 2011 - 2:21pm

Last week a friend of mine asked where he could get cheap insurance for his Bailey caravan. Naturally I referred him to my own company – Shield Total Insurance.

However, it started a discussion as he thought caravans were rated like cars where a Bailey may be in a different group to a Swift etc.
I explained that caravan insurance isn’t that sophisticated and that premiums vary according to value, storage location, security and previous claims history. He said that’s mad as he knows that repair prices on his new Bailey are cheaper than a caravan with conventional construction. An interesting point.

NEC February 2010 is here

Caravan and Boat Show 2010 The other day I worked out that I have spent over 18 months of my life inside caravan shows! I can see myself sitting there with the grandkids asking “Grandad what did you used to do at work?” Telling them that I spent a year and a half of my life at a caravan show isn’t exactly going to help me reach hero status!

6 days and fit to drop

Caravan Club Wow – despite being nearly 30% smaller, the International Caravan & Motorhome Show was mad busy. My shoes are worn thin and I don’t think I’ve talked so much in all of my life! The show was more manageable for visitors, my Freedom pass paid dividends and over 78,000 of you enjoyed it too.
